Help ensure that youth have a safe and positive learning environment when weather turns gnarly!

Your donation for our “Reach & Teach” Yurt Campaign will be specifically ear-marked to purchase / construct / operate a yurt at one our (5) satellite SOLE Field Campuses in the Inland Northwest.  Whether you are looking to showcase your business, do some serious good, or do a lot of both – our ‘Reach & Teach’ Yurt Campaign is a phenomenal way to do just that and MORE!

The Need:

Our organization has continued to expand services to address the needs which exist throughout the communities of the Inland Northwest.  As we do so our students are in need of a safe and positive learning environment where they can warm up and continue to learn even when the weather is darn right gnarly.

To make this dream a reality, SOLE has developed relationships with key stakeholders and partners throughout the Inland Northwest (i.e., Schweitzer Mountain Resort, Sliver Mountain, Lookout Pass, Mt. Spokane, United States Forest Service, and Idaho Department of Lands) to establish Field Campuses in strategic locations, so we can continue to facilitate the transformational experiential education programs that SOLE has become known for, including our SnowSchool Experience programs.

Why?

Many of those we serve in these programs are deemed ‘at risk’ (over 60% living in poverty). Additionally, many have never had the opportunity to pursue the novel experiences that we provide due to the socio-economic barriers which exist. For example, based on a 2015 survey over 70% of youth had never had the opportunity to explore and learn about their winter wildlands via snowshoe.  In addition, as demand for SOLE’s program rises as does our need to provide resources to facilitate safe and positive learning experiences for our stakeholders.

How?

As individuals, businesses, and corporations opt to become field campus sponsors SOLE will provide markeing exposure for each specific program and field campus site.  This will include, but not limited to, direct mail marketing efforts, eNewsletters, social media, organization events, and website space.
