Let’s face it, in today’s day and age it truly takes a village to raise a child.  Youth are now spending an average of 9 hours of non-school related time connected to media.  Over 95% of teens have access to a smart phone, and over 45% of these youth state that they are “constantly connected”.  SOLE’s vision to unplug and connect youth to their wildlands stems from a sincere need to provide the opportunities to develop social and emotional competencies, learn outdoor living and travel skills, and make sound academic connections.
